We had a great first week as a family. Eli has been a great sleeper for us and is starting to figure out his days and nights which helps Mom and Dad get a little sleep.

We have enjoyed all of our visitors this last week and have been trying to get Eli out of the house everyday. Most of the time he cooperates while we are out. We think he enjoys the fresh air, as do Mom and Dad!

Welcome Home Eli!

Eli has been such a joy to have around! We were sent home from the hospital Monday afternoon. He enjoyed his first car ride and was happy to come home to meet the cats :) Since then we have spent a lot of bonding time as a family. He is doing so well, eating and sleeping like all newborns do. We had our first check up at his doctor's office today. The consensus is that he is perfect! (We have to agree!) He has gained back quite a bit of the weight he lost after birth. The nurse said he was gaining about twice as much as the minimum they like to see, so they are excited about his progress. Everything else checked out great. His next big event will be to get pictures taken on Friday. We are excited to see what the photographer will come up with! :)

The Newest Schreiner!

Here is the newest addition to our little family.
We welcomed Elijah Christopher into our family at 4:05 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2009. He weighed 7lbs. 1oz. and is 20.5" long. He has been such a good little boy and is loved by many! I will be sure to keep everyone updated on our little Eli!
